Trombone help?

I am currently on my 5th year of playing trombone. Last year i recieved a silver plated Conn 52H with a bore size of 0.547. The mouthpiece I currently have is a 6-1/2 ALS.
I was wondering if switching to a small shank 5G or 51D would be a good idea to brighten my tone. If so, which mouthpiece should I pick or is there another size I should try?
Also, I’m also in jazz band. Would it be a good idea to keep the 6-1/2 ALS to use during jazz band?
My horn is pretty much a pea shooter with an F attachment, but its intermediate.
Thanks
Ok, I would also like to know if i should go with small shank or megatone small shank?
I’m a tenor trombone player, it that helps

the smaller piece might be wiser to use for jazz, as it will brighten your tone.

the bigger shank may be better to reserve for orchestra.

It wouldnt be bad to use both.
