Barber Adagio for “Trombone” Quartet -Audio & slide show

I have a 1941 Conn Director Trombone, with a copper bell. What is it worth?
I have a 1941 Conn Director Trombone, with a copper bell in working order. what is it worth?
Depends on:
1. The condition of the horn
2. How much of the original horn is there
3. Who played it
4. It’s collectible value verses it’s functional value
5. How many of the horns still exist
6. How much somebody else wants it
Your best bet would be to get it appraised in three different ways (not necessarily by three different appraisers)
1. As a collectible (it won’t be an antique technically, until it is at least 100 years old
2. As a musical Instrument – how functional is the horn, how useful would it be to a performing musician?
3. As a piece of memorabilia – Is it a rarity among Conn instruments? Did anyone with a reputation (good or bad) perform on it?
Hope this helps.
